(LIMA) – Who says you can't come home?  Well the Lima Warriors are about to find out as they are returning to their old stomping grounds as they will be moving to Ada’s War Memorial Stadium for the remainder of the 2009 season, including playoff action.

“This move is in the best interest of the Warriors from many standpoints, not just economically speaking” said team President John Bell. “We have a very unique opportunity to go back to Ada to preserve the Warrior way of life as well as provide support to the Ada athletic community.”

Vice President Devon Jones added “With this move, we can still play close to home and at a championship caliber level, I’m excited to be going back to our second home.”

Ada served as the home of the Warriors from 2004-2006, and has been home to some of the best memorable moments in team history, there is still plenty of opportunity for the team to further continue its success and create more great moments.

Bell also added that both the Warriors and Lima City Schools are open to renewing the working relationship for the 2010 season.

Tickets are five dollars each with children 12 and under getting into the game free of charge.

Here is a list of the remaining home games for the Lima Warriors.

  • 7/11/09 - Battle Creek Blaze
  • 7/18/09 - Grand Rapids Thunder
  • 7/25/09 - Northwest Ohio Knights
