GAME REVIEW

WARRIORS WIN
GRIDIRON BATTLE OVER THE KNIGHTS
Bobby Huttis
returns and scores two touchdowns

It's
hard to tell how good the Lima Warriors are this early
in the season, but they are not surprised with their
successful start.
After
missing the first two games, Bobby Huttis had three
receptions for 47 yards and scored two touchdowns,
including a 33-yard catch in the fourth quarter in
Lima’s 32-6 victory over the Ohio Knights at War
Memorial Stadium.
“Once you
get on the field, everything comes back and it’s all
natural,” said Huttis.
The (3-0)
Warriors now have won their first three games in the last
four seasons.
Warriors
quarterback Justin Henderson wasn’t perfect, but had a gutsy
performance --completing five of eleven passes for 79 yards,
two touchdowns and an interception.
“Justin
bleeds Warriors blood and really stepped up,” said coach
John Parkins.
The
Warriors played excellent defense against a team that scored
16 points last week. The Knights (1-2) had just 195 total
yards and turned the ball over four times.

The
Lima Warriors have never lost a regular season game in
the month of June.
The
(2-0) Warriors will keep this is mind when they face
the (1-1) Ohio Knights this Saturday, June 17, in Ada
at 7:05 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium.
The
Warriors stand at the top of the division as the lone
undefeated team as they open up divisional play.
The
battle won't be easy, but the Knights are going on the road
for the first time against a tough Warriors team, eager to
get its third win in front of a rowdy home crowd. The
Knights were etched out 26-14 in their first game against
the Motor City Warthogs.
Last
Saturday the Knights won their second game in a 16-0 shutout
against the Ft. Wayne Flyers in divisional play. A win this
week will give the Knights a share of the lead of the Ohio
Valley Division.
